EPOSEALER IMPREGNATING & ANTIOSMOSIS EPOXY RESIN. It is a solvent free liquid epoxy resin, activated with a cyclo-aliphatic amine, with high insulation and adhesion power. Thanks to its characteristics of penetration, adhesion, flexibility and water resistance performs a waterproof film on the wood surface while maintaining its natural properties. It is therefore the most suitable product for the treatment and maintenance of wood. Provides also outstanding anti-osmosis properties when used on fiberglass boats.
SURFACE PREPARATION AND APPLICATION PROCEDURE
FOR IMPREGNATION PURPOSE. Clean, degrease and sandpaper the wooden surfaces to be coated. Make sure the wood is dry and then apply 3-4 coats of EPOSEALER IMPREGNAZIONE & ANTIOSMOSI allowing 12-24 hours between coats, achieving a final thickness of 300 dry microns. Within 24 hours from the last coat of EPOSEALER IMPREGNAZIONE & ANTIOSMOSI overcoat with one coat of UNIFIBER PRIMER. EPOSEALER IMPREGNAZIONE & ANTIOSMOSI can be applied by roller or brush
FOR ANTIOSMOSIS PURPOSE. For the treatment of boat bottoms affected by osmosis, remove first the gelcoat layer completely; remove (preferably by sndblasting) all bubbles of osmosis by fully opening their craters. Rinse accurately with fresh water, use hot water if possible. Before starting procedure make sure that the bottom is perfectly dry. Apply one coat of EPOSEALER IMPREGNAZIONE & ANTIOSMOSI on the parts affected by osmosis. Within 24 hours level all craters with one coat of EPOXY LIGHT FILLER NS until a smooth surfacace is achieved with several coats of fillers; sand between coats. Use PLAMUR FINISHER MDF for fillerr finishing. Apply then 3-4 coats of EPOSEALER IMPREGNAZIONE & ANTIOSMOSI (allowing 12-24 hours between coats) to build up a total thickness of 600 mcirons. Within 24 hours from the last coat of EPOSEALER IMPREGNAZIONE E ANTIOSMOSI overcoat with one coat of UNIFIBER PRIMER. EPOSEALER IMPREGNAZIONE E ANTIOSMOSI can be applied by roller or brush. The application with a short bristle roller is recommended as it allows to obtain 100-120 microns per coat.
