Hard matrix type antifouling containing mainly copper oxide. Its water-based formulation, therefore odorless and ecological, makes it an innovative product in the sector. The hard matrix allows its film once in contact with water to be always active with the movement of the boat. We recommend applying a minimum of 3 coats for optimal results. The duration and antifouling effect varies with the speed and operation of the boat. A light sanding is sufficient when repainting. Recommended for boats with medium speed even over 30 knots. The product is also particularly suitable for the protection of fishing nets. Not suitable for aluminum hulls.
PREPARATION OF THE SUPPORT AND APPLICATION CYCLE
New iron hulls. Apply a coat of EPOFOND AM-9 on sandblasted iron to SA 2.5 (*) and let it dry for 12-24 hours. Then apply 1-2 coats of SOLVER PRIMER at intervals of 24 hours between them. Overpaint with 2/3 coats of POSEIDON-AQUA antifouling at least 12 hours apart.
(*) If it is not possible to carry out sandblasting, it is advisable to mechanically restore the iron to new condition; clean the surface and apply 1 coat of CROMOMINIO-AT leaving it to dry for 8-12 hours. Then apply 2-3 coats of SOLVER PRIMER at intervals of 24 hours between them. Overpaint with 2/3 coats of POSEIDON-AQUA antifouling at least 12 hours apart.
New wooden hulls. Apply a coat of CROMOMINIO-AT and let it dry for 8-12 hours. Apply 2 coats of SOLVER PRIMER 24 hours from each other, then 2/3 coats of POSEIDON-AQUA antifouling at least 12 hours apart.
New hulls in fiberglass or plastic. Degrease with detergents and water and rinse. Lightly sand with fine abrasive papers and dust. Apply a coat of UNIFIBER PRIMER / EPOFOND AM-9 and after 24 hours sand with fine sandpaper. Then apply 2/3 coats of POSEIDON-AQUA antifouling at least 12 hours apart.
