One componente deck-paint based on alkyd modified resin and oleophenolic baking process for excellent resistance to exposure in marine environment. It should be applied over appropriate primer providing good characteristics of brushability, surface hardness and outdoor resistance. Available in red, green or white colour. An antislipping additive (code N0070) can be added to the product for a non-slipping surface in a percentage of approx. 30% by weight.

SURFACE PREPARATION AND APPLICATION SYSTEM

Bare steel.  The surface should be clean, dry and well degreased, free from corrosion. Apply 2 coats of EVIOX CROMOMINIO followed by 2 coats of SMALTO PER COPERTA allowing the required drying times between coats.

Bare wood.    Apply 1 or 2 coats of EVIOX CROMOMINIO followed by 2 coats of SMALTO PER COPERTA allowing the required drying times between coats.

Previously Painted Surfaces:
- If the old paint is in bad conditions, the loose or powdery parts should be mechanically removed. Clean the surface with suitable detergent material and rinse. Let dry thoroughly. Where necessary use SINTOFILLER to fill up and make even any surface irregularity, sand and follow up the directions as per Bare Wood/Steel as described above.
- If the old paint is in good condition and it only needs a topcoat because it is dull or dirty but with the underneath coatings still well fixed to the substrate (with no cracks or bubbles), clean, sandpaper and touch up where requred with 1 coat of EVIOX CROMOMINIO followed by 1-2 coats of SMALTO PER COPERTA allowing the required waiting period between coats.
