General purpose anticorrosion one component paint formulated with lead minium and anti-decay additives to provide excellent anticorrosive barrier, high coverage and good adhesion.The product has been studied to withstand marine and industrial environment providing good characteristics of adhesion and flexibility. Its binder is made of a long-oil modified alkyd resin particularly resistant to water. Recommended in synthetic coating systems. THE PRODUCT IS “FOR PROFESSIONAL USE ONLY”.

SURFACE PREPARATION AND APPLICATION SYSTEM

Bare Steel. If sandblasting cannot be carried out use a mechanical wirebrush or abrasive disk to prepare the surface. The surface to be coated should be clean, dry and degreased; any trace of rust should be removed. Remove all residuals and dust off the surface. Clean the surface with a cloth soaked with Thinner 107 or Thinner 900. Apply 1 coat of EVIOX CROMOMINIO followed if necessary by a second one after 24 hours. Overcoat with suitable one-component topcoat.

Previously Coated Steel. if the old paints are not any longer in good conditions because loose or powdery, remove the old paint film mechanically. Remove any trace of rust by mechanical wirebrushing or abrasiv disk, sandpaper with medium abrasive paper (280-320) and let dry well. Clean the surface with a cloth soaked with THINNER 107 or THINNER 900. Apply 1 coat of EVIOX CROMOMINIO followed if necessary by a second one after 24 hours. Overcoat with suitable one-component topcoat.
