(POLYURETHANE TEXTURED ENAMEL) Two-component polyurethane enamel providing a semi-gloss texturized finish for application as a topcoat on industrial machineries and boats. Thanks to its textured finish allows to hide uneven surface or irregularities which can be present on the substrate. Resistant to agressive environments.

SURFACE PREPARATION AND APPLICATION SYSTEM

Steel.
Apply 2 coats of EPOFOND AM-9 onto sandblasted steel according to SA 2,5. If sandablasting cannot be carried out ensure that the substrate is clean, dry and free from any trace of corrosion. Degrease properly. Any loose or powdery paint should be mechanically removed. Apply 2 coats of EPOFOND AM-9 and fill up with PLAMUR FINISHER MDF filler if required. Apply 1 coat of POLIFOND and sandpaper after 24 hours. Overcoat with 2 coats of  POLYURETHANE TEXTURED ENAMEL allowing the required waiting time between coats.
Fibreglass. The substrate should be degreased with suitable detergent solution, rinsed and slightly sandpapered with fine abrasive paper. Remove dust particles. If the substrate is slightly powdering it is recommended to apply 1 coat of POLIFIBER PRIMER allowing 18-24 hours between coats. Fill up with PLAMUR FINISHER MDF filler if required. Overcoat with 2 coats of  POLYURETHANE TEXTURED ENAMEL allowing the required waiting time between coats.
Bare wood. Wood substrate should be clean, dry and well seasoned and possibly pre-treated with one coat of LIGNUM IMPREGNANTE or POLIGLASS VARNISH (the latter diluted min.50% with Thinner 203). Wait 24 hours and sandpaper the surface. Overcoat with 2 coats of  POLYURETHANE TEXTURED ENAMEL allowing the required waiting time between coats.
Painted wood. Carry out a patch test by painting a small area of the old coating. If the old paint is not in sound condition or it has lost his original brilliancy it is best to remove the old paint and bring back the surface to bare wood. Follow up as suggested for bare wood. If the old paint is polyurethane based and show to be in sound conditions, clean, sandpaper and apply 1 coat of POLIFOND. After 12-24 hours sandpaper and overcoat with 2 coats of POLYURETHANE TEXTURED ENAMEL allowing the required waiting time between coats.
